Jody Root is an educational consultant based in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated cum laude from Princeton University and received her Master's Degree from Yale University. Jody completed UCLA's Certificate in College Counseling with distinction, and is certified to administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Level B psychometric instruments used in personality and career assessment. A member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), and the Gap Year Association (GYA), she trained as a college essay coach through the Wow! Writing Workshop. Jody visits campuses and attends professional conferences regularly.
In recent years Jody has worked as a full-time college counselor at an independent private school, has coordinated and conducted admission interviews for Princeton University and The Gates Scholarship, and works as an application evaluator in college admissions. Due to this current work, Jody Is not accepting clients as an independent college consultant at this time.
Jody is available for consultation on high school selection, gap year and summer programs, as well as personality type and career interest inventories.
